something learned from this is humans care about animals.i know they do because they went through swampy waters just to take pictures. i also learned
ReplyDeleteanimals are very predatory. i know this because the pack of lions jumped on the elephant. i also learned that animals over time learned to trust people. Angelo Lucatorto

ReplyDeleteWhat i learned feom watching this TED talk is that humans cant change animal behavior thats just how they are. i also learned that their are people who go out to study and take dedicate their lives to the wild life. this couple specializes in studying and taking pictures of lions. They actually go in the swampy water. and follow the animals for years because they are dedicated to their work.
what i saw is in predictable because i didn't saw this kinds of relationships. well is the fact that some animals have respect. i also saw over time some animals don't go crazy. this stuff that i saw in my dream that animals have respect for human. animals have different view to the life, how they act we cannot predict.
ReplyDeletefrom this ted talk i have learned that wild animals may infact get comfortable with humans to fast.I dont understand why the women said she started to cry when she saw he group of lions go after the elephant, life feeds off life its something that should be expected.i had this feeling of shock and aww when the lepard started to take care ofhe baby. That was deffinitly something i wouldnt have guessed.i also learned that lion bones and tiger bones are exactly the same, not shocking but it is interesting.

ReplyDeleteFrom this video, I learned about Beverly and Dereks passion towards the african wilderness and protecting it. They followed a leopard for a period of time and grew to have a relationship with it. They understood and pointed out the leopards individual personaltiy and only could they achieve that by spending time and getting up close to know what the leopard was like. These people go to the wildest places and spend days trying to capture unique feline footage and interactions between other animals. In comparison to how the feline wild life population used to be, the quantity of them has dramatically decreased. Lion and Tiger bones look exactly the same so eventually the lion bone industry is going to wipe out the tigers. 3/4,000 lions are affected by the same diseases that can be prevented. Male lions are often killed and when that happens it disrupts the whole pride. Another male lion will take charge and kill all the cubs and some of the mothers who defend them. It is estimated that 20-30 lions are killed once someone hunts the leader of the pride. All in all the cat family is essential to its African habit. Beverly and Derek have made something called "Last Lion" to bring critical awareness to the importance of these animals. When lions disappear, the plains will be stripped of cats and eventually everything else will disappear too. If there isnt a change, the ecosystem in Africa will be ruined.
This video was incredibly informative, I've learned countless amounts of things. One thing that I have taken a great interest too is about how the leopard took care of the baby baboon. Although she had killed the baboons mother she ended up taking care of it and protecting it from the hyena that was bound to attack. The leopard was trying to use her motherly instincts in protecting it but also being a predator wanting to attack. Unfortunately the baby baboon died from being in bad weather. Great-fully it didn't die from being the leopards snack. Al thought these big cats are predators and are highly dangerous, maybe in a way they aren't as bad. Another thing I learned is that if lions die a whole ecosystem is destroyed.

ReplyDeleteWatching this Ted talk video, I learned many things. It's amazing how wild life creatures actually protect and care for each other. A leopard caring for a baboon is something I would've never imagines. I also learned that with time and patience comes great things. I never knew wild life animals can actually become attached to humans and have a strong bond and love for them. I found it interesting how Beverly and Derek can have such a strong heart for these animals. I myself, love wild life animals such as tigers, lions, koala bears, etc. They are just so cute and I hate the fact that they are abused and used as puppets when in zoos and stuff. Other people who are for animal abuse should watch this Ted talk and I bet their perspective would be changed.
After watching the TED talk I learned is that some wild life animals care for each other. This shows that humans and animals are the same because the protect and care for other creatures. I think if it wasn't for Beverly and Derek we wouldn't know about how animals love and take care of other animals out of the own kind. Also I learned that the population of wild life is decreasing rapidly.
ReplyDeletewhat i lean from the video was that you should never give up you should keep fight i lean this because when the loins was trying to kill the elephant he giving up but he got over it and keep trying till he got away from them i was amazed that a animal that big got away for so much lions. - rohan clarke
ReplyDeleteFrom this video, I learned a couple off different things. I learned that tiger bones and lion bones are the same. Another thing I learned is that sometimes humans can get attached to animals and animals can also get attached. People will do anything to protect animals. If they trust us, we should respect them.

ReplyDelete1. While watching this ted talk video i learned a lot from watching the experiences of Beverly and Derek. First is how inspirational they were to be exploring Africa for more than 25 years, especially as a married couple. When they were showing their footage of what it was like driving in the car, going through rivers to film lions and leopards in their natural habitat hunting for food. When they met the leopard that had grown a lot since they met her, i found it funny how she climbs into the car with them making herself comfortable, because it shows how much she trusted them, and she didn't even attack because she knew they wouldn't hurt her. Another part I liked was when all the female lions attacked the elephant using teamwork to try and bring it down, and just when the elephant was about to give up and quit, he pushed himself to try harder and managed to escape. This video was really inspiring, it would be so cool to go into the wild and film all this up close, it would be even cooler if their species wasn't so close to being extinct with all the hunters shortening their population.
1. I've learned from this TED talk that people are truly passionate about every type of animal. Including the dangerous ones which can kill them if they wanted to. I feel bad for all the animals in Africa who are being hunted constantly for their food and skin. But now I realize that any animal can come close to humans and act like their part of the family. I also learned that lion and tiger bones are the same , I never knew that before.
ReplyDeleteAfter watching this Ted talk, I learned that no matter what you shouldn't give up. Always have hope even in your lowest moments. I also learned that tigers and lions have the same bones. This also show that animals and humans are the same because they would care and protect others. I never thought that a lion and a baboon would get along.

ReplyDeleteI learned that even though animals kill each other, they can be caring towards each other also. The cheetah treated the monkey like her own child because of her mother instinct and animals can be just like humans. I also learned that you should never give up because even though the situation may seem hard, you should keep fighting for it because you never know if you'll accomplish it. Like the elephant thought he was going to die and gave up, but then tried again and got away from so many lions.

ReplyDeleteFrom watching this ted talk ive learned alot that i really did not know. I learned that lions and tigers have the same bones when they two totally different animals. I also seen that people were trying to be an activist or animals. I have also learn that wildlife animals kill each other but yet they care about other animals. I seen a leopard carrying a baboon. This goes to show that not all animals eat any and every animal when they see them.

ReplyDeleteFrom watching This ted talk ive learned alot. I see how people are trying to be activist and i see how much love people have for African animals. I seen a leopard carrying a baboon which goes to show that all animals don't eat each other all of the time. I also learned that lions and tigers have the same bones but ye they look totally different. I also learned that Beverley and Derek are dedicated to their work because if they wasn't they wouldn't have observed these animals the way they did.
From watching this ted video , I've learned that There are some caring animals out there. Not alot of animals would do what that leopard did, taking care of that little monkey. Me personally , im not really a fan of animals well, not huge ones, like lions and leopards and the other wild animals but, they act the way they act , because thats just the way they are . I dont have a problem with it I just would rather not be near one, but these people? They put their hearts into these wild life animals. Staying out there for years watching these animals , becoming attached to these animals , which i thought was really crazy at first but after a while i see their passion in what they do . & they love those animals.

i learned that every day more and more lions and tigers were being killed for a line burning. This happpens to be a well payng business. From this well selling business can come the extinction of these cats. There numbers in population have dropped drasctically in these recent years. so its up to us to stop them from going extinct. i also learned that in a single moment when hope is lost a fighting instinct comes over you.

ReplyDeleteFrom this film i learned that wild cats have personalities. And i also learned that humans are killing these animals, and that shouldn't be legal. When you kill one lion you basically kill another 30. And that's why their population is decreasing. And soon the plans where wild cats live will be empty. And since this is the fault of humans then it should be the job of humans to fix the problem.

ReplyDeleteWhat i learned from this TED video, by Beverly and Derek who are married, is that they never stopped discovering new things about lions and tigers. They been exploring and discovering things about lions and tigers in Africa. I learned that since Beverly and Derek were born, there a lot more lions and tigers than now. The populations of tigers and lions decreased because of hunters or safari hunters. The married couple are now trying to help them. Also what I learned from the video and that was surprising, but fascinating was how the female lion took care of the baby baboon after killing it's mother. That was touching.

ReplyDelete1. One thing I learned from this TED talk is that animals are like humans in many, many ways. They attack one another and they help each other in many different ways. Different species of animals care for another totally different species such as the leopard and the baboon, I feel as though animals have feelings also otherwise they wouldn't care for other animals. Another thing is that humans can learn to interact with wild animals just like Beverly and Dereck Joubert did. They were patient and had some setbacks but they did what they had to do to.
I pretty much learned that these animals that Beverly and Derek study and try to protect from poachers are amazing creatures. The way they live, hunt, and act is so fascinating. They understand our behavior patterns. They are predators too. These animals study us in such a way that we are completely oblivious too.

ReplyDeletepeople have to kill animals for no reson what so ever to just make it as a joke what about lions there race is bout to be empty just that there no food for them and other people have to kill on of them for food or money

ReplyDelete1) this film taught me that each animal has their own personality. It has also taught me how close humans and wildlife are linked. You'd think only a human would adopt someones foreign child and act as their parent. When i saw this in the film,i was shocked. The last thing it has showed me is how one being can be the glue holding everyone together and once that one piece is gone,Everything starts over. That one lion holds the pride together and once he's gone,The pride falls apart. This relates too humans in power. If someone in power starts something and the new person in power disagrees, they can easily abolish it and ruin everything the person before them was attempting too do.
After watching this TED talk video i've learned quite a few things. For a first I just found out that tiger and lions have the same bones knowing they are from two different feline families. Another thing I learned is the passion Derek and Beverly share for the wildlife in Africa, if they were not caring or interested in the wildlife, they would not camp out for four and a half years and watching a leapord. Also that this is a form of activism for animals. One thing that struck me was how the leaopord took good care of the baby babboon, its amazing how animals of different species help each other.

1. What i learned from this TED that Beverly and Dereck love animals. They love exploring and spending time with lions and tigers and where they researched is in Africa. I also learned that animals are just like Humans. What i also learned in this video is animals dont care for other animals. They will attack.
ReplyDeleteAlexandria R. Kishore
i learned that animals over time learned to trust people. i also learned that leopards always in packs and they care for other animals in the wild even though they killed because they have to or else they wont live. The thing that caught my attention is the mommy leopard protecting the baboon from the hyena that wanted to attack it.I don't like how people kills these animals every day and nobody is stopping it
ReplyDeleteOne thing i learned from today's TED talk video was how comfortable animals can get with humans. I realized that for example dogs get comfortable around humans by sniffing them to recognize there scent. even after you've had a puppy for a while you can begin to train it to sit, stand, lie down, e.t.c Animals also act like humans in ways of there own. if they see something or someone of there own kind in trouble they will try to help them. I also didn't realize how much some people, such as Beverly and Derek dedicate their lives to take care of animals.

ReplyDelete1. One thing I learned in this TED video, is that nature unpredictable. Both Beverly and Dereck Joubert went on a journey and took photos and were filming the evryday life of lions and leopards. Their journey lasted about 4 years. Within those 4 years they have see the life of a mother leopard rise her cub. They also obsvere how the leopard hunt. The most interesting was that at the end of the video while the leopard was hunting a baboon, a bay baboon was clinging to its mother. Instead of the leopard killing the baby which nature intended it to do, the leopard save and protected the baby baboon. This goes back to nature is unpredictable, and this is why animals (exotic, domestic, farm, etc.) should be protected. As humans some think nothing of a animal, only as a wild animal, a pet, or food. They are so much moree then that they have feelings and a mind to think, not every animal react the same, for example the leopard in the film. Also the elephant that was being attcked, just like a human when we are hurt of being broken down our body tells us to give up. But then for most of us our minds tell us to keep going and don't give up. We need to be more aware of our animals.
This film taught me that animals are just like humans they know exactly what they are doing and they have their own personality. I learned that humans really care about animals so much that they go out and study their wild life. Something intresting that i learned about the animals was it is lions are killed once someone hunts the leader of the pride.

After watching the Ted Talk video I learned that no matter what you shouldn't give up.Another thing is animals are like humans. Also this showed me animals in the wild have respect for humans. The last thing I learned was that the tigers and loins have the same bones. Also people should stop killing wild animals they hurt them in a huge way.

ReplyDelete1. in this video i learned that wild life animals do care for one another . for example a leopard taking care of a baboon is something i wouldn't expect because of ow different they are. also that if you give animals time they will & can get attached to a human.humans and animals are close in similarity. nature is just unpredictable . lastly the way animals are killed by humans for no reason . for our needs like food .
The Ted video by Beverly and Dereck Joubert gave me several information about protecting the wildlife. One thing i learned from the video is that emotions are not just limited to human beings. I was amazed by the leopard's care and love towards the baby baboon, generous characteristics like these are even rare in human beings. if one species is disappeared from the ecosystem, the ecosystem will be massed. I also learned that according to their statistics, the population of tigers and lion has been decreasing due of hunters. I am strongly against hunting and i believe those who kill animals for the pleasure of hunting or for money should be treated the same way.

ReplyDeletethe video was very heart warming in the sense of their love for animals. I feel the same way i love tigers and such. We she start paying attention to more animals and there rescue . Or there going to become extinct.

ReplyDelete1)One thing I have learned from watching this TED video is that Beverly and Derek is really passionate and committed in to protecting the African wilderness. They spent alot of time in to studying these animals.Of course they went through some troubles to get where they needed to be.Their vehicle got flooded as well as their photography equipment. But that didnt stop them at all. They have been following this leopard around and have been learning his personality.I though all leopards and lions were mean and just wanted to kill. They are actually not because they have a mind of their own. They are unpredictable.I also learned that you can learn a valuble lesson from watching animals.Like when the elephant was being attacked by the lions he lost hope for a minute but he put up a fight and never gave up and the lions left him alone.
After watching this TED talk i learned humans aren't the only living creature that doesn't give up on life but animals also never give up. I never knew that animals had a conscience because from what i saw something was holding the leopard back from eating the baby baboon. I also learned that in Africa lions can swim and hunting water buffalo is their specialty. I never knew that science left out the personality of animals from what i would read all tigers lions and leopards just eat people. I learned that all members of the cat families are going extinct because the number if loins tigers and leopards have dropped a lot.
ReplyDeleteJoseph Muller
i learned that its important to know i see about the wild life to know what they do to survive. because one day they could be extinct and there would be no trace of what they did in the wild. i also learned then even if your losing you don't give up you fight until you win or you fight until you can't fight anymore.i learned the the predator and the prey can get along without killing each other.and last but not least i learned that over 10,000 leopards are killed just so there fur can be worn or for strange rituals.

ReplyDeleteAfter watching this TED talk video I've learned that, the animals care just like we humans do. Beverley and Derek were very informative on how the animals react and cope with nature. Its very interesting to know that the skeletal features of the lion and tiger are very similar and to know that they are separate type of cats. Beverley and Derek helped the population of these felines grow in size. This video persuaded and helped me learn many things about the wild life, for example if they lion population goes extinct there is a chance that the plains in Africa could be vanished too.
After watching this TED talk video, i learned a few things. One thing i learned in particular is that animals have some similarities with humans. For instance animals show evidence of caring for one another. In the video, a leopard was taking care of a baboon, that was very surprising to me. Also the bone structure of a lion and tiger are very similar, however they are 2 different types of feline.

ReplyDelete1) From watching this ted talk i learned a lot. That animals are very smart and that even though some animals do get hunted by others they always try Example the Elephant that was getting attacked by like 6 lions the elephant looked like he or she wanted to just give up and die, but no the animal gained hope and forced there way up and ran away. I think Beverly and Derek was amazed and even though there truck flooded they still stayed there to watch how the wild lives. I learned that not all animals kill each other like when the the female Leopard took care of the baby baboon after she killed the baby mother. She loved took care of it and went to sleep with the baby baboon which touched my heart. Animals have feelings to and not all wild animals are heartless. I learn that even though an animal can be wild and a dangerous animal sometimes us humans can gain there trust if we love and pay attention to them just watch them instead of bothering them.
What I learned from watching this TED video is that this married couple has been exploring Africa for 25 years and they're really interested on filming and taking pictures of lions. But that moment when they were out to see the lions at night they were caught in the moment when the lions were attacking an elephant. There were 6 lions going after one elephant nd even though it was being attacked he wanted to give up but instead he stood up and tried to fight back and get away. The couple were amazed and surprised at the fact that they were there to see this happen and how the elephant didn't give up. Also they were amazed by watching a baby baboon being taken care of by a leapard after the leopard killed the mother. Even though. Wild animals are usually dangerous its still possible to gain their trust to be around them.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I learned is how humans can be fascinated by wild animals. The people in the film really use almost all of there time following these animals to see all movements. They followed one leopard just to study her and catch unique images. I also learned how wild animals can care for each other. It was surprising witnessing a leopard take care of a baby baboon.
ReplyDeletei learned that animals over time learned to trust people. i also learned that leopards always in packs and they care for other animals in the wild even though they killed because they have to or else they wont live. The thing that caught my attention is the mother leopard protecting the baboon from the hyena that wanted to attack it.I don't like how people kills these animals every day and nobody is doing to protect those type of animals. its not only cats and dogs that need protecting too our wild animals do too.

ReplyDelete1. I learned from watching the Ted talk about wildlife and how animals start to get comfortable with humans by doing different things. Also tigers and lions have the same bones because they all come one big cat family. I was surprise how the leopard protected her family from danger humans would definitely do the same
